Kambu Kuzhi Paniyaram (Bhajri or bajra!)
Got this from a tamil magazine. Healthy! But was very bland even with so much toppings, so you may want to increase the rice proportion and serve with really spicy side dish. My podi went well with it :-) Millet Paniyaram

Ribbon Pakoda
Moving to some fatty recipes :-)
This is my best hit snack item. I really like to make them here in the US, as I think it turns dry compared to India. I am not sure if it is the flour or the oil or my presser, that makes it less oily. This item cooks really fast and is very crispy. Ribbon Pakkoda

Another sweet recipe!
Suppose to be made in banana leaf...since we don't get it, I just steamed it directly on idli vessel and some of it I tried in aluminium foil. Ilai Adai

Easy Dessert (rice/coconut/jaggery)
Very quick dessert, turns little thick, so ended up adding lots and lots of water. And also it gives so much quantity, so make with little rice. Tastes similar to paal kuzhakattai. Please top with roasted cashews. I din't add it this time. Here are the detailed pictures... Easy Dessert

Whole Wheat poori (very less oily!)
Poori...what a big deal? Just that it is made really dry...non-oily...call it less oily! So thought of sharing it with you all. As mentioned in one of the earlier posts, I make pooris using the whole wheat flour from King Arthur brand and this is the best low oily poori I have ever had. Got it from Safeway, I hope it is available in all regular grocery stores. Check it out... here are the pictures.. Poori

Kothu paratha or Chapathi
My better half calls it Kothu chapathi as I made it from rotis, you could call it kothu paratha as well. A good way to use up the left over rotis. The other day I had the Costco uncooked rotis, which we are not a big fan of, so made this one and it was really yummy. Kothu Chappathi
